Delivered in 2008, FCS Alsterwasser was the first inland passenger ship in the world to set off under fuel cell propulsion and with hydrogen as its energy source. The aim of this unique, EU-supported project is to test practical emission-free ship operation and to promote the use of this technology for maritime applications. Drews Marine GmbH was responsible for designing, supplying and installing the HVAC system onboard this vessel.
